The standby generator is housed in a sealed metal container and would be grounded. It would be protected against EMP.

How hot do the battery warms get. Can not find that in any of the specs. Mine was at 162.7 deg F. and cooked my lead acid battey

The operating temperature is not published due to the fact that the temperature of the warmer can change with the local ambient temperature. It is programmed to turn on when temperatures drop below 40 degrees F and shut off when temperatures rise above 55 degrees F.
