    1. The pump could not be wired directly to a 12-volt battery. It could damage the pump and also would be a fire hazard.

  2. Can this product be used laying horizontally. Would be lying in truck bed that is hauling a fifth wheel RV. Clearance would not allow tank to stand up. Thanks

    1. The gas caddy cannot be used or transported horizontally, as its venting system and pickup tube are engineered strictly for upright operation, and laying the tank on its side will cause fuel leakage, vapor escape, and pump‑priming failure.

  7. I accidentally filled gas caddy with diesel fuel . No gas was in caddy when I filled it with diesel. Will diesel harm gas caddy? I can use up the diesel. Thanks

    1. The diesel will not hurt the caddy. You can use it to dispense the diesel but would want to mark it so you know diesel is in it and do not mistakenly put it in a gas tank.

  9. What is the pump lift capacity? What type of transformer is needed to run the pump on AC?

    1. The pump requires the PFSAC1E adapter, which converts 120 VAC to 12 V DC at 10 A. This is a flooded-suction, impeller-style pump with no suction lift, so keep the tank outlet above the pump inlet for proper gravity flow. The pump can only push fluid under pressure and cannot draw it up.
