This particular nozzle is a manual nozzle, meaning it won't shut itself off when your tank is full.
If you would like a nozzle that fits into your tank inlet and shuts itself off when the tank is full, the 700F3144 automatic nozzle fits the bill. Just keep in mind that when using an automatic nozzle, your pumps flow rate will drop as the automatic nozzle is more restrictive than the manual nozzle.

Yes, this nozzle will work on a gravity feed tank. However it will not shut off automaticly. So if unattended and the tank is full it will continue to run over.
