Product Summary

Blue Ridge 500-I Wood Burning Insert The Blue Ridge 500-I is a high-performance, environmentally responsible wood-burning fireplace insert designed specifically for installation into existing masonry fireplaces. Warning: this appliance must only be installed inside a masonry fireplace and must never be installed in a wooden or combustible structure. Engineered for large spaces, it delivers a powerful combination of comfort, efficiency, safety, and visual appeal while transforming an inefficient fireplace into a highly effective heating system. Designed for heating larger areas, the Blue Ridge 500-I features a high-capacity 3.5ft.3 firebox that provides exceptional heat output and long-lasting performance. With a burn time of up to 10 hours, it allows for extended periods of consistent heat with fewer refueling needs, making it ideal for overnight heating or full-day operation during colder months. At the heart of this model is a new ultra-efficient, clean-burning secondary combustion system. This advanced non-catalytic technology ensures optimal fuel use, reduced emissions, and improved heating efficiency, making the unit EPA certified and environmentally conscious. It produces a strong, steady heat output while maintaining clean combustion performance. One of the standout features of the Blue Ridge 500-I is its large ceramic glass viewing area, which provides a stunning panoramic view of the flames. The fire burns dynamically between the logs, creating a visually engaging and relaxing atmosphere. The integrated glass airwash system helps keep the viewing surface cleaner for longer, ensuring a consistently clear view of the fire with minimal maintenance. Built for durability and long-term reliability, the unit features a heavy-duty steel top reinforced with a stainless steel heat shield, a cast iron door, and high-temperature ceramic glass. These components are designed to withstand intense heat while ensuring structural strength and longevity. Installation is made easier thanks to the spring-loaded faceplate adjustment system, which allows the unit to adapt to a wide range of masonry fireplace openings. The included 32in. x 50in. faceplate provides a clean, finished appearance once installed, enhancing the overall aesthetic integration into your living space. To further improve performance and comfort, the Blue Ridge 500-I comes equipped with a powerful 144 CFM blower with thermodisc. This system helps distribute heat more evenly throughout the room, maxi
