With a 50ft. 2-ply, 190 PSI-rated fire hose, an 8ft. intake hose with strainer, check valve and fire nozzle, this is a great fire defense mechanism for any home, business or building near a lake, pond, pool or other water source.

  1. How many 50' hose lenghts can this unit handle and still be effective

    Can this unit pump up hill ie how hany degrees up hill and how many hose lengths before it becomes un effective

    1. I have it running 2 100 ft 1 inch booster hoses with fire nozzles and it worked great out of a 225 gal tank on a trailer.

    2. This system can pump water over 200 feet at a 90 degree angle. As the angle decreases, more hoses can be attached. There are too many variables to determine how many hoses this unit can handle and still be effective.

  2. will this pump occasionally pump chemicals? like the herbicide 2.4.D? How well will this handle dirty water (from a lake)?

    1. The internal volutes of the pump are aluminum and I would not recommend any chemical as it already corrodes a lot with just water. If you use a good strainer to keep out debris on the suction hose you can draft from a lake but mud and dirt will damage the pump as this is not a trash pump.

    2. The Endurance Fire Fighting System can not be used to pump any chemicals. This would void the warranty. The suction hose does include a strainer for keeping out solids.

    1. The run time on a full tank of gas is approximately 4.5 - 5 hours.

    1. This engine is made by Endurance Marine and is manufactured in China. It may resemble a Honda engine due to red color and white gas tank color.

    That is, with the output nozzle turned off but with the pump running & the output hose pressurized.
