    1. The widest strap the winch will accommodate is 1.5".

  3. What kind of connection connects the handle to the winch?

    1. Insert the hexagon socket of the crank handle on to the hexagon end of the main drive axle. Screw tightly using the enclosed screw nut and hex key. Make the pitch and screw hole at the same level.

  4. Can you use an electric drill with a socket hooked directly to the drive shaft for increased operating speed in lieu of the handle?

    1. This winch is not designed to be used with a power drill or other similar attachments.

  5. Does the brake work in both up and down operation.  I need to lift a load, hold, and then lower the load.  There will be a 2000 lb load in both up and down direction
