Use needle-nose pliers or a flathead screwdriver to carefully grasp the edge of the flame arrester. Apply gentle, steady pressure while pulling it straight out. If necessary, slightly wiggle the arrester to help loosen it from its seated position.

Hi, I just bought a second 5 gallon can and noticed a gas smell from the new can after filling it up. It looks like the cap closes too far forward and doesn’t seal correctly. My first can closes in the middle. Can I adjust the cap on the new one?

I just purchased Eagle 5 Gallon Type i Gas Can and I'm having difficulty mounting the funnel. I pull back all the way on the handle but the funnel will not fit over the opening. Only if I pull back on the can lid will it open enough. Is this correct way?

Do you leave funnel on when storing or take it off? How do I get it to stop leaking as I'm pouring gas out?
1 answerOriginally posted on Justrite-
Zoe· 2 years ago
The funnel on a Type I Eagle Safety Can may be removed or stay on the can. The Funnel should fit snuggly on the can to prevent it from leaking. If it is a warranty issue, we do have a ten-year warranty on our safety cans. I have reached out to your directly to confirm if this is the case.
