    1. Yes it will, the collar is adjustable to fit flat or sloped ceilings.

    3. YES IT DOES !!!! page 8 of the manual clearly shows how to install the support box for a Cathedral Ceiling... just be sure the shortest side of the support box is at least 2" below the ceiling... it also includes trim specifically for a Cathedral ceiling...

  2. Does this kit work with 8 inch pipe?

    1. No it is a 6" kit

    2. This kit is designed to work with 6" pipe. At this time, Northern Tool does not offer a basic chimney kit for use with 8" pipe.

  3. Is there a kit for a vertical installation but with a sloped ceiling?

    1. This kit will work with a sloped ceiling. The square collar that is included is in 2 pieces so it will work on the sloped or non sloped ceiling.

    1. Yes it will work, My home hasa metal roof although I didn't use the supplied roof boot, I purchased a silicone molded roof boot for the penetration through the roof.

  7. I am interested in purchasing your through the ceiling kit model # 6DP-KTUP. Will this work with a cathedral ceiling and sloped roof. I need to know what the dimensions are for the ceiling support box so I can frame the rough opening.

    1. The kit is specifically designed for installations in homes with vaulted or cathedral ceilings, where there might not be an attic space.

  8. I have a manufactured home. Is this kit pretty universal for the box to fit above ceiling? Also I wasn't sure if I have to get custom length single wall from wood stove to connect to triple wall pipe with your kit.

    1. The ceiling basic kit can be used with manufactured homes. The kit comes with 2 adapters, you will only need one of them to go to single wall pipe. You would just need whatever length you need to go from your stove with the single wall pipe to this ceiling kit.

  9. What do the initials KTUP stand for? Will this support single wall connector pipe from below and duratech 6 " stainless steal pipe from the top?

    1. The KTUP stands for kit that is through the ceiling going up for vertical installation. It could not be used with the DuraTech pipe. It can be used with single wall DuraVent pipe below with the DuraBlack adapter. It can only be used with triple wall DuraVent stainless steel pipe from the top.

  10. After I make the hole in my garage ceiling around 14 .5 by 14.5 & I hang the support box inside the whole in the ceiling how many inches should the box hang down like 3, or 4 or 5 inches hanging down from the hole on the ceiling?????

    1. The box should hang a minimum of 2" below the finished ceiling.
