    1. A double wall pipe will not connect directly to a single wall without a coupling adapter.

  5. Can you place the elbow directly on the flue collar?

    I've a bit of a weird layout and I'd like to run the vent under a staircase into an existing chimney. This of course gives very little clearance to work with. If it matters, I'm looking at the Vogelzang Deluxe Boxwood Stove, Model# BX42E.

    On a related note, is the DuraVent DuraPlus 36in. Chimney Pipe, Model# 9017 sufficiently insulated to run directly underneath a wood staircase?

  6. I am looking to purchase the durplus through the wall kit and chimney pipes/will this elbow work - do we need insulated elbow?

    1. Black stovepipe is intended to be used ONLY in the room the stove is in. If that is the application, no insulated elbow will be needed. Insulated stovepipe is required once the pipe enters the wall/chimney.
