  1. is there a cleanout provided in the "T with cap" for cleaning debris from the bottom of the bottom of the chimney?

    1. Yes, you can clean it out after removing three small screws.

    2. This chimney kit includes a tee with cap that has a cleanout.

  2. What is the length of the wall thimble ? Will it be sufficient to go through walls with 2x6 construction ?

    1. The wall thimble in the kit will bookend the inside and outside walls, while a 9" length of chimney pipe will actually go through the wall. If the overall thickness of the wall is more than 9 inches, you can buy a longer length of chimney pipe to go though.

    2. The thimble doesn't go through the wall. It's a wall mounted adapter allowing the conversion of the most commonly used 8" single wall stove pipe to the 6" triple wall stove pipe in this kit. The part that actually goes through the wall is the 9" length stove pipe section. (If you already use 6" triple wall stove pipe, the thimble is not needed)

      Due to the extra thickness of your wall materials it would be necessary to use a longer section. I would suggest using the 12" stove pipe that I have indicated below for that purpose.

      It would have to be bought seperately, but would be a better fit for your requirements.

  3. Do they sell this through the wall kit in a larger diameter this one is 6" internal I'm looking for 8" internal through the wall kit?

    Also how tall should the chimney be above the roof line is more height better? I have had other people tell me the taller the more draft ?

    1. Many communities have specific ordinances which tell how much higher than the roof line your chimney must be. Essentially, the higher it is the better the draft and the safer because of sparks and airborne embers. I would call the City in which you live and ask how high according to ordinance.

  4. what are the rest part i need to connect to wood stove from the inside of the house?

    what is the size for this kit so we can apply the rest of the pipe.

    1. My kit came with a thimble/adapter for connecting to the single-wall, 8-inch black pipe that comes from the stove. The kit is triple-wall, with a layer of cement-fiber insulation between two layers, and an air space between the middle layer and the outside layer. As I recall, the double-wall pipe is not intended for wood-fuel stoves. Single-wall pipe from the stove to the thimble allows exhaust heat from the pipe to be lost into the heated space, giving you more heat where you need it.

    2. This kit contains the pieces that you will need to rout your chimney pipe through the wall. In addition to this kit you will need chimney pipe, stove pipe and an elbo, the diameter of this kit is 6". The pipe that is included in this kit is triple wall. See links below for more details. Be sure to check your local codes and the stove's pruduct manual for specific installation recommendations.

    1. This DuraPlus Out-the-Wall Chimney Kit is made to connect a stove to a double-wall chimney pipe and vent it through the wall.

  10. From the exterior wall, how far does the tee place the vertical pipe? Asking this to determine if the distance will clear my houses eaves.

    1. The Tee is designed to be 2 inches from the side of the house and cannot be extended to clear the eaves. The eaves will need to be cut or you would need to add elbows to offset it.
