  1. What is the magnetic attach force?

    1. I can't say, but I attached it to an I-Beam on a Gantry Crane to drill several mounting holes and had no issues with having enough contact force. I know there is no way you could lift this with the magnet turned on.

  2. That is the minimum work table thickness this drill needs to operate properly?

    1. For proper and safe operation, the DeWALT Model# DWE1622K magnetic drill requires the steel work table or workpiece to have a minimum thickness of at least 3/8 inch (10 mm).

  3. Will this work on DC power?

    1. The DEWALT DWE1622K magnetic drill press is designed to operate only on 120V AC power. It will not work with DC power, and using DC may cause damage and void the warranty.

  4. what is the smallest drill bit we can use we need 3/16" hole

    1. The smallest drill bit the drill press would accept would be 1/2". It can adjust from a 1/2" to a 3 1/4" shank.

  5. Whats the maximum diameter and maximum thickness that can be drilled. I saw one comment that is can drill a 2 inch hole but it doesn't say how thick of metal you can drill . Is it 2 x 2 or less?

    1. This can accept up to a 2 inch annular cutter and has a spindle travel distance of up to 4 3/8 inches for the depth.
