  2. What is the minimal height of water that activates the pump?

    1. The pump will be able to come on at approximately 3 inches and will shut off at approximately 1 inch.

  3. Can this pump run 24 /7 if it had to . how long can it run per time 1hr ..8hr etc.

    1. This pump is designed to work in normal sump applications where the pump cycles on and off at normal intervals. Although not recommended to run 24/7, It can run continuously as long as there is sufficient water covering the pump to cool the motor and lubricate the shaft seal. This situation can happen during periods of heavy rain or if a large amount of water needs to be removed.

      It is not recommended to use this pump in applications other that sump applications i.e. power a waterfall or fountain. There are pumps designed specifically designed to operate in those applications.

      There is no set time limit on the pump. It can run for 30 seconds or 30 minutes without problems as long as the motor is properly cooled.
