  1. Is there an adapter required to connect this hose to a standard 2 inch pump?

    1. No. This hose has a brass 2" NPT water shank coupling that should work with most 2" discharge pumps w/o any adapter.

    2. An adapter isn't required to connect this hose to a pump with standard 2" NPT fittings/ports. Couplers can also be used to enable a faster connection of this hose to your pump (if preferred). Click the links below to view a 2" coupler and corresponding adapter that may save you time.

  2. Can this hose curve around corners, or be used to fill containers?

    1. These hoses are very pliable and light to use but depending upon how much pressure you pump they can get pretty rigid which widens the radius that they will require to make a corner. I see no problem filling containers as long as you regulate the pressure to match the severity of the corner you have to make. Be aware that the price you pay for pliable and light is that they are also very fragile and wont take rough handling or sharp edges.

    1. We do not offer the option of 100 foot long discharge hose. Maximum length is 50 feet.

    1. To remove the clamp, it would be recommended to cut with a pair of pliers.

  6. What does NPSM thread mean ? I need a 2 inch diameter hose for my submersible pump but I want to make sure it threads correctly. My pump says it takes a 2 inch NPT thread.

    1. NPSM stands for national pipe straight mechanical. The difference in NPT and NPSM thread will be that NPT is tapered (slightly conical) and the other is straight parallel.
