Product Summary

A CURT front mount hitch is an easy way to increase the functionality of truck, Jeep, van or SUV as a work machine or recreational vehicle. A front receiver hitch equips your vehicle with an industry-standard receiver tube opening, enabling you to add cargo space, mount a winch, launch a boat with ease, plow snow and much more. Like our rear mount trailer hitches, CURT front tow hitches are made from quality American steel. Each one is also made vehicle-specific, meaning the shape of frame, the position of the brackets and the placement of the mounting holes are all optimized to seamlessly integrate with the vehicle's design features. This ensures the best possible fit, maximum towing strength and the easiest possible installation. It is tested according to SAE J684 for dependable safety for you and your crew. CURT front hitches are also rated for a straight-line pull capacity of 9000 pounds, making them an excellent tool for recovery towing and winch applications. All front receiver hitches are equipped with an industry-standard 2in. x 2in. receiver tube opening, providing a solid, versatile mount for a variety of towing accessories. The 2in. hitch receiver is welded with a steel collar for added strength, and it has an open back for easy cleaning as needed. When not in use, the front receiver readily accepts a hitch tube cover, keeping it well-protected from water, dirt and debris. Made in U.S.A.

    1. This unit will not work with your 2005 Dodge Durango. Please see the two items below that will--the model 13072 with square tubing, and the model 13297 with round tubing style.

  7. The reviewer stated the tow eyes have to be removed for the installed, but can they be re-installed after the hitch is in place?

    1. To install this hitch the tow eyes must be uninstalled and cannot be reinstalled. The factory installed fog lights would also have to be removed and also could not be reinstalled.

  8. Can you mount a snow blade or push blade to it, to level snow or stone.?

    I have seen some of these with a push blade mounted to it.. I could one to spread stone in my driveway... If it will work.!!

    1. This receiver hitch is compatible with snow plows or push blades that are designed to fit a front mount receiver hitch that have a 500 lbs. max tongue weight capacity.

  9. Will this fit the 2006 F-450 diesel?

    Also, what is the tongue weight. I'm looking to put a receiver mounted hydraulic snow plow on it and looking for easy on/off.

    1. The overall length from end to end is 36.37". The bolt spacing center to center 33.87" and the length of the main body not including mounting tabs is 28.93".
