  2. Does this unit include a charger for the starter battery that must be purchased separately and placed inside the housing?

  3. Does this have a built in transfer switch? I looked at your site and could not find a Cummins 200 amp transfer switch.

    1. This Cummins generator does not include a transfer switch. See our item #88776 that would include the transfer switch.

  4. How can this generator be installed within 18” of a dwelling?  My current generator (LP fueled) is about that distance from the house and when it runs the exhaust fumes enter the soffit and come into the house. What is run time on 400 gal LP?

    1. It has the capability to be set 18" from a dwelling, depending on the application. It needs to be 18" away from any combustibles and at least 5 feet away from any windows or openings that would allow exhaust to enter the home. The unit will use about 1.9 GPH running at 1/2 load. The length of time it would last on a 400 gallon propane tank would vary, depending on the appliances running and how long they run.

  5. What is the THD rating for this generator?

    What is the THD% rating for this generator while using natural gas as the fuel source? The Briggs and Straton unit lists is on their description already.

    1. The total harmonic distortion for the generator is less than 5%.

  6. Battery dimensions?

    This unit requires a battery, what are the dimensions of the battery box? Is there a suggested CCA (cold cranking amps) capacity?
    Will it require a motorcycle or small equipment type battery, or will a small automotive battery work?

    1. This unit requires a 12V, Group 51R automotive battery with at least 450 CCA. Battery dimensions will be roughly 9.30"L x 5"W x 8.85"H.
