Simple, low maintenance refrigerated dryer uses a refrigerant gas to cool compressed air and condense water for removal from your compressed air system. With this technique you can reach a COOL pressure dew point of 50° F. Refrigeration technology is the most used dryer technology, complying for more than 95% of industrial applications. Refrigerant dryers are commonly used with pneumatic applications and in the general industry (eg. engineering, steel, paper, tannery, garage). Compact equipment fits into small space and is easy to install and maintain. Produces higher quality air to increase overall plant productivity. Not for sale in CA, OR and WA.

    How do I determine which size CFM air dryer do I need to use with my compressor?

    1. The air dryer CFM needs to at least match or exceed the CFM of you air compressor.

    2. The size and CFM of your compressor will determine which air dyer is needed. When choosing an air dryer, make sure the CFM rating of the compressor does not exceed the CFM rating of the air dryer.

  4. Does this have to be in a heated room or can it be in unheated space?

    1. The choice of an appropriate room will prolong the life of your dryer; the room must be spacious, dry, well ventilated and free from dust. The minimum room temperature would be + 41 degrees F (compulsory) and the maximum room temperature would be + 104 degrees F (compulsory).

  6. What is the dewpoint rating?

    It says dewpoint is 50F while most are rated to -40F. Is the above zero temperature a typo? No reason to buy an air dryer that only removes moisture to equivalent of 50 degrees above zero. Also, want to know inlet and outlet size.

    1. This refrigerated air dryer produces a pressure dew point of 41 degrees Fahrenheit. The inlet and outlet on this unit are both male 1/2" NPT.

  8. Does the unit run continuously or does it come on when the compressor kicks on?

    1. Most refrigeration dryers including this one do not cycle on and off but do run continuously. The ones that do cycle on and off are for really large high-end industrial air compressors and are not cost-effective for most applications.

  9. Where does the moisture go? Is there a drain that needs to be plumbed?

    1. This Refrigeration Dryer has a hose located in the back to remove the moisture. It would be recommended to connect the hose to a drain.
