    1. This Canarm explosion-proof exhaust fan pulls 6.6 amps on 115 volts or 3.1-3.3 amps at 230 volts. A 10 or 15 amp circuit breaker could be used.

    Mfg’s website says there is a front guard available for this. Is this guard a wire guard and can it be ordered installed or separately?

    1. The Canarm front guard for this fan is part # XFG24 available through the manufacturer. This is an 18 gauge galvanized 3/4” expanded metal screen.

    Does this fan come with a shudder box. Or is one availble? If it is not included.What is the item number for one.If availble .

    1. This Canarm exhaust fan does not include the shutter box. You can obtain the shutter box from the manufacturer directly. For a motorized shutter box, the part number is SX3224x24 and for a standard shutter box, the part number is SR3224x24.

  7. Can the motor be placed outside?

    We would like to use this fan as air intake instead of an exhaust. What is the NEMA rating of the motor? Can the motor be placed outside?

    1. This Canarm fan is meant to be installed on the inside of an outside wall for exhaust only. The NEMA rating is not available at this time. We carry a fan made for outside use. The item number is 43973 (see below).
