Product Summary

Turn your ATV into a year-round landscaping tool with the Buyers Products ATV All Purpose Spreader. The durable poly hopper holds up to 100 lb of free-flowing material that can be spread up to 30ft. Use the spreader to fertilize lawns, plant seeds, or feed livestock in the warm months, then load it with salt or ice melt to take care of driveways, parking lots, and sidewalks in the winter. Each spreader has an enclosed 12V motor mounted inside of the hopper and a manual feed gate regulator, so you control how much material is used. The power switch and all controls are easily accessible from the seat of your ATV, letting you do the job from start to finish without getting off your vehicle. The included rain cover fits over the hopper and protects material from the elements. The spreader mounts directly to the existing rear utility rack on your ATV.

  1. Does this atv spreader spread pea size gravel?

    1. Pea Sized gravel would not work well in this spreader. It would likely get clogged in the hopper and not drop to the spreader. There is no auger/agitator in the hopper to help materials flow through the holes. This causes the material to clog.

    2. The spreader is not designed to be used to spread gravel. Gravel would cause damage to the unit.

  2. what setting do you use for lime and 12-12-12 fertilizer

    1. The Buyers Spreader does not offer specific settings for lime or fertilizer. The spreader has a control handle that can be used to open the restrictor plate to the correct size and amount of material being spread.

    2. That is dependent on how many LBS to the acre you want to apply. Check the bag and then its trial and error, start light and go back over if you don't have enough on.

  3. I don't understand "wiring harness." Does this have clips to attach to battery or do I have to buy something else?

    1. battery clips, Mine I took them off and brought a cigarette lighter plug with the wires on it and wired it up to that

    2. It comes with a 105" wiring harness. It does not have the gator clips, it has 2 wires that you will just wrap around the battery posts.

  7. Is opening/closing feed door accomplished with a cable such as a lawn mower throttle cable?

    1. no the adjustment is a small rod. this is probably the best mechanism i have found.

    2. No, the feed door on this Buyers spreader is operated manually with a control rod and handle located at the back of the spreader in arms reach.

    1. This spreader will work on UTVs with a 2" receiver.

    1. The spreader does not have an adjustable spread width. You can adjust the material feed rate, but using the control arm, allowing you to control the density of the spread.
