Does the gear reduction mean the output shaft is turning at 600 rpm if the engine is rated at 3600rpm?

Can the gear reducer be moved to a different position so that it the output shaft is directly above the crankshaft

  The gear reduction unit does have a specific location on the engine. We cannot recommend modifying the engine in any way as it could cause damage to the engine and/or would void the warranty.
