  1. Will this product work in the marsh?  Looking for a product to give a path to water through marsh for kayak launch.  Water tide lowers and raises throughout day so at times parts of mat would be in water.  Will it stay in place?  Thanks

    1. It sounds as if this is question is for pedestrian traffic carrying kayaks. In our opinion, the VersaMAT Ground Protection Mat with Walking Tread, model VM28, is an excellent choice for this application. The aggressive tread on the bottom will provide good traction that will help keep the mat from moving around too much, while the less aggressive tread on the top will provide an excellent walking path.

      Regarding the changing of the tide, model VM28 is neutrally buoyant, which means it will not float, but it also won’t easily sink. It could be moved by current. Therefore, we recommend linking multiple VersaMATS together utilizing our U-Stake Ground Protection Mat Anchors, model U STAKES, to secure the mats to the ground.
