You would remove the paint container from the gun and pour the remaining paint into the original container. You would clean it thoroughly with paint thinner. Pour the paint thinner into the container and attach it back to the gun. Continue to spray until nothing comes out but the paint thinner. Then loosen the nozzle slightly, unscrew the lock nut and move the nozzle from the cylinder and take the valve out of the cylinder. Clean the nozzle, valve lock nut and cylinder with the thinner. Use the cleaning pin to clear the nozzle and the swirl head valve and reassemble the spray gun. Clean the outside of the machine with a moist cloth. Open the air filter cover and make sure the filter is not soiled. IF necessary, rinse with water or replace the filter.
