Different types of vehicles require different types of ramps. Vehicles with low front fenders, including race cars and some sports cars require a different type of ramp than high front fenders such as cargo vans.
How do I choose a ramp for my vehicle?
A general rule is to choose a pair of ramps with each ramp rated to more than half the weight of your vehicle.
How do I properly position on automotive ramps?
Center each ramp with a wheel before driving slowly up the ramps. Stop your vehicle at the top of the ramps and engage the parking brake. Double-check your vehicle’s positioning on the ramp and place wheel chocks behind the set of wheels that are not on ramps.
Can automotive ramps be easily stored? Do they require maintenance?

We recommend covering your automotive ramps with a tarp or plastic sheet and storing them on a rack or shelf to prevent moisture from reaching them. The covering shouldn’t be airtight, as that can trap moisture and cause rust. If you live in a humid climate, or if the storage place for your ramps is damp, you’ll want to consider either a dehumidifier or desiccant packets.

If your ramps have a lot of splatter or dirt on them, we recommend that you clean them thoroughly with soap and water and rinse and dry them thoroughly before storing. You might even consider applying a rust inhibitor prior to storing your ramps.
