High Altitude Operation

CAUTION: Operating at an altitude of greater than 2000 feet (610 meters) may affect your engine's performance, fuel consumption, and emissions. To remain emissions compliant and improve engine performance at higher altitudes, a high-altitude kit is required. A high altitude kit includes a carburetor jet resized to help correct air / fuel mixture at altitude. To order a high altitude kit, or if you have additional questions, contact us at 1-866-442-2576. Please note, engines with the high-altitude kit installed operated at lower altitudes could cause severe engine damage and affect emissions compliance. When modified, a tag or decal should be added to the product stating that a high-altitude kit was installed and to remind you to re-service the carburetor (re-jet) when operating in lower altitude environments.

  1. For the vibrator plate only not the engine ..what type of oil and how much does it take when you change at 300 hrs????

    This is for the vibrator plate only which is located under the engine.

    1. The vibrator plate uses 10W-30 oil and has a 200 mL capacity.

  2. Does it come with starter or a place for a starter

    1. This plate compactor is equipped with a recoil (pull) starter. It does not have the option for an electric starter and it should not be modified. Modifications to the unit would void the warranty.

  5. What is the size of the shipping crate?  Will it fit in back of an SUV prior to assembly?

    1. The package dimensions are 26'' long, 21'' wide, and 32'' high. You will need to measure the opening on your SUV.

    1. This plate compactor does not come pre-filled with oil nor does it include any. It is recommended to use 10W-30 oil for both the plate and the engine.

    1. There is an access hole on the front of the machine to access the vibrator fill port.
