  1. can sand be used instead of water?

    1. I have water in mine. The hole to fill is 1". I imagine you could but it would take a long time and I would think it would be close to impossible to empty it.

    2. Yes, as the info that comes with the unit states. That way there is no problem with winter freeze if you live in that part of the country.

  2. how many gals. of anti-freeze needed to keep water in drum from freezing.

    1. It recommends 55 gallons for the Ohio Steel Tow-Behind Lawn Roller at 60 inches in width.
