Product Summary

This industrial-mobile Yuken Spool-Style 5 Hydraulic Directional Control Valve conforms to the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) D03 mounting pattern for subplate or manifold mounting. As a 3-position, 4-way valve, it is commonly used to extend and retract a double-acting hydraulic cylinder. As a single solenoid valve, it will remain in its home position (tandem center) until shifted electrically, returning to home when the power is removed. Its molded coils are moisture and dirt resistant. Indicating signal lights, manual override and electrical junction box are standard. The valve mounts on Northern Tool Subplates 68306 (1/4in. port) and 68617 (3/8in. port).

    1. It would take the standard 10 x 24 UNC x 1 /34" screw.

    1. There are factory installed O-rings on the bottom of the valve that seal it to the subplate.

    1. This Yuken spool-style 5 hydraulic directional control valve has a push button with lock nut. This can be used for manual changeover of the spool. The push button can be locked in the pressed condition.

    Can theses valves be proportionally controlled using PWM?
    Or at least a softer start using PWM?

    1. This Yuken spool-style 5 hydraulic directional control valve cannot be proportionally controlled using PWM. This is a direct acting electro-magnetic solenoid operated directional valve that simply uses an on/off electrical signal to actuate the solenoid.

    1. Tandem spool valves are used in hydraulic circuits where two or more hydraulic cylinders or motors are controlled from a single source of power. In this configuration the working ports A and B are blocked and the pump port P is connected to the tank port T.

    Does this valve have an open center so it can be put in line on a tractor hydraulic system?

    1. This unit can be used in a tractor hydraulic system, however it features a tandem center. Please see My Product Recommendations below for another solenoid valve with an open center and the mounting subplate options.
