Product Summary

Remember when your backup plan had a backup plan? Whether we're providing your home electricity during a crisis or charging your family's cellphones at the campgrounds, WEN has been reliably lighting up lives since 1951. Now, with the WEN 14500-Watt Tri Fuel Electric Start Generator, you’ll be able to pull power from three different sources. Simply select your preferred method – gasoline, propane, or natural gas – and power on. With 14500 surge and 11500 running watts on gasoline, 12500 surge and 10300 running watts on LPG, and 10500 surge and 8750 running watts on NG, it’s durable enough for the job site and reliable enough for home emergency backup. Electric start lets you power up your generator with the turn of a key, and includes a recoil starter as backup. Our packed panel features four three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R outlets, a 120V/240V 30A NEMA L14-30R outlet, a 120V/240V 50A NEMA 14-50R outlet, and a standard 12V DC automotive outlet. The onboard data meter digitally displays voltage, frequency, total runtime, and session runtime to help keep tabs on maintenance intervals. Run your lights, TV, refrigerator, sump pump, power tools, or other essentials with ease. The wheel and handle kit makes transportation easier than ever, while the included six-foot LPG hose allows for immediate connection to propane tanks. Thanks to its 240V capability, powerful 500cc engine, and included NG quick-connect adapter, this generator is the perfect portable alternative to hefty and expensive standby units (NOTE: NG hose not included / sold separately, part no. TF1450X-1431). Simply connect the NEMA L14-30R or 14-50R outlet to your transfer switch for power when and where you need it. Fill the gas tank with up to 8.2 gallons of gasoline for a half-load runtime of up to 12 hours. Compatible with the WEN 56413 Generator Cover and the WEN GNA273 Magnetic Dipstick. And because it’s a WEN product, your generator comes backed by a three-year limited warranty, a nationwide network of skilled service technicians, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and a friendly customer helpline. Remember when you didn’t have to worry about the power going out? Remember WEN.

    1 answer

    1. The generator will have copper winding.

      Helpful?

  4. Is this generator safe with sensitive electronics

    1 answer

    1. Model #TF1450 is not recommended for highly sensitive electronics. This generator features a copper rotor and aluminum stator windings. The total harmonic distortion (THD) is approximately 5.7% when at no load, and it can rise to around 20% under full load. This level of THD is higher than what is typically recommended for sensitive electronic equipment. Therefore, it is advisable to use a quality UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) or power conditioner when operating sensitive devices.

  5. what is the running time on a 20 lb. bottle of propane

    1 answer

    1. The generator would run approximately 5-6 hours on a 20 lb propane cylinder at 50% load. It would consume about 0.75 to 0.78 gallons per hour of propane.

      Helpful?

  6. Does it have a 50 amp fuse for theb220 volt outlet and can you use it to power a 220 volt welder?

    1 answer

    1. The generator would have a NEMA 14-50R, 120/240 volt outlet. It is rated at 14,500 surge watts and 11.500 running watts. You would need to check the wattage requirement for the welder to see if the generator would work to run it.

      Helpful?

  7. Can this be pull to start if the battery dies?

    1 answer

    1. The generator would have recoil (pull) start if the battery dies for the electric start.

      Helpful?

  8. What is the running decibel level?

    1 answer

    1. The decibel rating would be about 74 to 78 decibels (dB), depending on the load and distance you are away from it.

      Helpful?

  9. Are these any good and can you add a remote start to them

    1 answer

    1. The generator is a durable rated generator. Remote start could be added to the generator, but may void your warranty.

      Helpful?

  10. dose the unit have a perfect sine wave of 60 Hertz? Oxygen concentrator requiring a perfect sine wave.

    1 answer

    1. The generator would not have perfect sine wave power. You would want to look for an inverter generator for that.
