Produce up to 3600 surge watts and 2900 rated watts of power on gasoline, or connect a propane tank using the tool-free quick-connector for up to 3500 surge watts and 2600 rated watts of power on LPG. The WEN Watchdog CO Shutdown Sensor helps protect both you and your family by automatically turning off the generator if dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected. Our 149cc engine operates at a modest 65 decibels at quarter load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 3600W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The lightweight 49-pound design makes for easy portability while the ultra-efficient 1.5-gallon tank provides up to 5 hours of half-load run time (or 11 hours half-load run time on a 20-pound LPG tank). The fully-packed panel comes equipped with two three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, one 12V DC receptacle, one 120V TT-30R RV receptacle, and two 5V USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch.   1. Can this generator essentially run on gas until the tank is empty and then automatically switches over to the propane tank to continue running?

    1 answer

    1. The generator is equipped with an auto fuel selection technology. This means that the generator will automatically select the fuel source (LPG or gasoline) depending on availability. LPG is prioritized, this means that if a propane tank with enough LPG is connected. The generator will automatically use the LPG. If there is not a tank that is connected the generator will use gasoline (as long as there is fuel is in the tank). The LPG regulator hose must be disconnected for the generator to switch to gasoline. If the LPG hose is connected and run out of LPG, the generator will not automatically switch to gasoline.

    1. Yes, this unit includes a 12V receptacle that works whether running on gasoline or propane.
