  1. How do I tighten the chain?

    1 answer

    1. To tighten the chain you would first loosen the clutch cover nuts, then turn the chain tensioning wheel clockwise using a screwdriver or the tool that comes with the chainsaw until the chain is taut but still slides freely by hand. The proper tension allows the chain to be pulled 1/8" away from the bar, but not sagged. Then tighten the clutch cover nuts.
