    1. Wagner Reconditioned 3/8 HP Piston Paint Sprayer - Model# Recon 770 Paint Crew

      Wipe the paint out of the hopper. Clean with the appropriate cleaner. Run the appropriate cleaner through the machine until the cleaner comes out the spray gun. Repeat if necessary. Put a few ounces of household oil into the hopper and cycle the unit to oil the internal mechanical parts.Remove the spray gun and thoroughly clean all of the parts (very simple). Thats it.

    2. To clean the Wagner 770 Paint Crew, you will first need to turn the power off, unplug and empty hopper. Next flush with cleaning solution and purge the hose. Finally clean and oil all components.

    1. No conpressor is needed . Pressure is generated by a piston driven by the internal electric motor.

    1. It is the best way for painting a ceiling but lots of care, and protecton must be taking to reduce any overspray along the walls and on the floor It is about the only way to paint a popcorn ceiling.

  4. do you need to thin down the paint?

    1. You do not have to thin down normal consistancy paint be it oil based or water based. I have painted a house with mine and just poured the paint straight from the can. I also painted 460 feet of 3 rail fencing with some thinner red fence paint. In both cases the material went on quickly and with great coverage. I am so glad I purchased this sprayer. It does everything it advertises and does it well.

    2. There is no need to thin down the paint. This will spray a variety of paints, latex, primers and stains. This will not spray lacquers, industrial enamels or asphalt sealer.

  5. will this sprayer atomize and spray ashphalt paint without plugging the nozzle?

    1. My guess is that the micro-screen filter in the sprayer handle would clog with asphalt paint; --tends to have fairly large particulates.

  6. do this have a nice spray pattern or does it just splatter paint like the on quart gun

    I need a inexpensive system to spray welded wire fence for the USDA. Will this do the job?

    1. This is not a sprayer like the inexpensive hand held models. This sprayer is a smaller version of what the pros use. I think it does a great job when painting a house or a fence. It is not meant to be a commercial unit but will be a welcome addition to a home owner who uses it once in a while. Clean up is easy but somewhat time consuming. Not practical when used for quick small items like a lawn chair, but is great when used for large areas such as a house, garage or fence.

    2. Yes, this Wagner paint sprayer provides a much better spray pattern than the hand-held sprayers that Wagner offers, the spray pattern is a nice and even atomization with no splatter.

    Can you recommend a airless sprayer that I can use with Super Diamond Clear

    1. Wagner has not heard of a product called Super Diamond Clear. This sprayer is capable of spraying a variety of paints, latex, primers and stains. It is not for use with lacquers, enamels or asphalt sealers.

  9. Does this unit work with Rustoleum Protective Enamel label on paint reads oil based? I know you can thin that stuff fairly easily.
