ProLine 8000 Watt Inverter As a venerable favorite among off-grid users, Wagan Tech’s ProLine series of power inverters have received a considerable makeover. Starting from the ground up, the new 8000 watt inverter received a new SMT circuit board, a glossy exterior coating on the smaller casing, and a massive weight reduction. The new Wagan Tech Pro Line Inverters; proving that the best can get better! Upgraded Features The new SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards offer greater reliability, better efficiency, and fewer stray RF emissions over the older PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) and through-hole boards. From there the case volume shrunk almost 54% of the original, and the overall weight was reduced 52%! This makes for one efficient, reliable, beautiful, and lightweight 8000 watt inverter in a more compact size! Component Details Under the shiny new exterior, you’ll find the aforementioned SMT circuit boards and a powerful cooling fan. On the front of the ProLine 8000 Watt Inverter you will find the manually operated power switch (On/Off) as well as the jack for the remote power switch (included). 4 conveniently stacked 120V AC outlets capable of providing 1500 watts each are well spaced on the right side of the inverter. Just left of the AC outlets, you will find the LED Over-Load and Over-Temperature warning lights and the Voltage and Amperage level indicators. With the stout AC terminal block just below the Voltage/Amperage Level indicators, you can be certain that your investment is well protected. Rear Component Details On the backside of the ProLine 8000 Watt Inverter is the massive cooling fan, the Heavy Duty Solid Mount Positive (Red) Terminal, the Heavy Duty Solid Mount Negative (Black) Terminal, and the Ground-Neutral Bond stud with wing-nut. Both of the Terminals are now Heavy Duty Sold Mounts and come directly out of the case to make connections easier and to avoid the inevitable 90? bend that the cables make on traditional inverters; causing undue stress and making connections harder. The massive cooling fan is utilized to help keep the inverter cool and operating efficiently. Performance Wagan Tech builds our inverters with high peak surges that allow up to 3x the continuous rating to support high surging appliances such as tools, microwaves, air conditioners and refrigerators.
