Product Summary

The Wagan Tech 1600 Solar + LED Floodlight uses renewable solar energy to light up driveways, sidewalks, courtyards, or any outdoor space. Just like a streetlight, this 20in. lamp turns on automatically at dusk to provide 100 lumens of standby light; if anyone passes within range, a motion detector boosts the output to 1,600 lumens. The light drops back down to 100 lumens after 20 seconds when no motion is detected. The standby light automatically shuts off after 5 hours or when battery is below 30%. The self-sufficient and self-contained design mounts to any hard surface, such as a fence, wall, pole or tree.

    1. The minimum temperature range the floodlight will work in is -4 degrees F. The operating temperature it is rated for is -4 to 122 degrees F.

  3. What is the battery capacity and what is the solar panel power?

    1. The battery is a rechargeable 7.4V, 5.4Ah, Lithium battery. The solar panel is a 9.5 Watt monocrystalline panel.

  4. Does it have a on and off switch?

    1. The light does not have an on and off switch. After 5 hours of lighting the light will turn off after 5 minutes of no motion. When less than 30 percent charged the light also turns off after 5 minutes of no motion.

  5. Can I bypass the motion sensor to keep the light on bright? If so, how long will the light last?

    1. This motion sensor light does not have a bypass or an adjustment to keep the light on bright. Please see My Product Recommendations below for a light that has a remote included that allows you to turn the light on and off, and set the built-in timer.

  6. Does the motion activated light still work after the 5 hours? I see after 5 hours the standby light stops working.

    1. The motion activated light still works after the 5 hours. When fully charged, the light will be 20% brightness in standby mode 100% brightness for 20 seconds when motion is detected. When less than 30% charged, turns off after 5 min of no motion. After 5 hrs of lighting, light turns off after 5 min of no motion.
