  1. can this be used in any wood stove ? does the heat cause it to open ?

    I usually need to pre- heat the flue pipe on my wood stove to establish a draft, accomplished by holding burning media in the flue - will this heat open the damper ? I assume it will close automatically when the stove cools , do you know at what temperature ?

    1. This Vogelzang Anti-Backdraft Damper can be used with any 8" piping or duct work. The damper is controlled by a coil. The damper will open when temperature is hot enough to blow through the duct work, but will not allow heat from a secondary unit to enter the unit.
