Add our automatic shutter to finish your install of standard, solar, and premium series Maxx Air gable mount ventilators in your home if you are not installing behind existing louvers. Each aluminum louver is individually padded with felt for an extremely quiet operation. No special tools are required for installation and the frame has pre-punched holes to secure it in your attic space with zero hassle. This exterior shutter automatically opens and closes when the attic fan turns on and off and helps to shield your attic space from the elements when the gable fan is not in use.

    Are the louvers electric or do they just swing open from the force of air coming through fan?

    Outside measurements so I can cut the hole... And inside measurements for fan or duct installation.....

    1. The outside diameter of this gable shutter is 21" square. An 18-1/4" square opening (on center) will be required on the gable. Shown below are the attic fans that are to be used with this shutter. Follow the manufacturer's direction for installation for the chosen attic fan.
