Product Summary

The Hot Blast HB1520 by US Stove is a wood burning furnace designed to use in conjunction with your existing HVAC ductwork. With twin 500 CFM blowers and up to 180,000 BTUs, it is designed to heat a home up to 3500 Sq. Ft. Its heavy duty cast-iron door with a glass viewing front gives out the ambience of a flame without compromising efficiency. The open plenum allows for easy installation and with a built in ash-pan and firebrick line combustion chamber, the HB1520 is a great option for heating larger spaces in the furnace category. The Hot Blast HB1520 EPA certified furnace exceeds 75% efficiency.

    1. The Hot Blast Wood Furnace cannot be used with power is out and/or the fan is not running.

  6. Is air inlet control by thermostat to get air to fire box.

    1. A Honeywell limit control is mounted in the duct work just above the air discharge atop the furnace, works in conjunction with a wall thermostat. This will operate the distribution blowers and combustion fan on the rear of the furnace.

  7. How does inlet air come in fire box

    1. The supply air duct shall be constructed of metal in accordance with NFPA 90B, 2-1.1. The plenums installed to the furnace shall be constructed of metal in accordance with NFPA 90B, 2-1.3. When installing this furnace the supply air plenum is to have a minimum height of 24” (610mm) if the top of the first vertical section is not flush with the top of the first horizontal section of ductwork. If the top of the plenum is flush with the top of the first horizontal section of ductwork then the minimum height is 15".

    1. The dimensions on the fire box are 24" D x 13.75" W x 19.5" H. This is approximately 3.74 cubic feet.

    1. A photo of the back of the stove is not available. The blowers are attached to the back of the unit and connection to the limit switch is on the back of it.
