Product Summary

The US Forge 309L electrode is designed for welding both similar and dissimilar alloys in wrought or cast form. It is used with SMAW welding machines on AC or DC reverse polarity, offering flexibility across equipment types. The specially-designed spray-type arc transfer allows a closer arc gap to be maintained during welding, resulting in less heat input and improved control, making it suitable for all-position welding. Arc stabilizers enhance performance especially on AC machines, while the special coating resists moisture and helps maintain consistent weld quality, automatically readjusting the moisture content to a safe level once brought back to a drier atmosphere, without the need of rebaking.
