  1. How is the measurement made for this item 34181?

    I need to know where you start and end the measurement for the 6" drop.

    1. For the "drop", you'd measure the difference in the height of the upper surface of the square steel tube and the height of the top surface of the bar where the ball is mounted.

    2. Drop and rise is measured from the top of the receiver hitch opening, to the top of the ball platform.

    3. The 6" drop measurement on the hitch is from the bottom of the top tube to the bottom of the bar that the ball fits into.

  2. For the XTP Receiver Hitch Ball Mount with 6" drop. 2" ball what diameter and length of threaded shank?

    1. This hitch can be used with any flat wrench hitch ball with a 1" diameter shank and 2" minimum shank length.

    What is the distance from the center of the pin to the rise/drop? I need about 10-12 inches to clear the bumper and need to find one that is longer than most.

    1. The distance from the center of the pin hole to the center of the ball hole is 10 inches. That distance from the pin hole to the rise/drop would be less than 10 inches.
