  1. Ultra-Tow Trailer Dolly - 600 capacity

    I have a trailer with a maximum tongue weight of 450 lbs. Will this be able to handle the trailer. Just need to move it around tight spaces on a level concrete surface.

    1. Yes, I move tongue weight trailers of up to 525lbs. with no problem, just increase the tire pressure to 35psi.

    2. This is the perfect tool for what you need. My driveway is gravel so that is why I got one as the normal tonque jack with wheel digs in and you can't move it. I also park it along a fence. With this unit I can get it within a quarter inch of that fence if I want to. Rated for 600 lbs tonque weight so no problem with your 450. I recently had to load up a pile of wood on my trailer and didn't know if it would move with a load like that on it. I had no problems moving it back to the fence with the load on it. You will love it!

    1. yes, unbolt the ball and bolt on another size. Should be no problem.

    2. Yes, you can swap out the ball. The ball would have to have a 3/4" shank.

  4. What is the ball height from the ground for this dolly?

    1. it really doesn't matter because you can raise the handle up and forward enough that you can put the ball on the ground under the tongue if you need to. I keep my trailer tonque fairly low to the ground when stored. I don't use the swing jack on the side. I can hook the ball to it within a couple inches of the ground. Then pull back on the handle and down and it raises it with ease.

  5. Can I get a ball with a longer extension

    I like to be able to get more height to the dolly by replacing the existing ball with one that has a longer extension ? Is that possible ?

    1. This trailer dolly includes a hitch ball with a 3/4" shank. Northern Tool doesn't carry a compatible high-rise/extension hitch ball. Click the links below to view trailer dollies that feature adjustable hitch ball heights.

  7. Would this work for moving a small travel trailer?

    Would this trailer dolly work for moving around a small travel trailer with a tongue weight of about 400 lbs. and a overall trailer weight of about 2,700-3,000 lbs. on sandy gravel?

    1. This trailer dolly can be used to maneuver a trailer with a tongue weight of 600 lbs. or less. It performs best on asphalt, concrete or other hard packed surfaces. It should perform fine on sandy gravel, but may require more effort to move the trailer.

  8. need a replacement wheel for 143754-1213

    Shaft is 3" - diameter is 1"

    Tire is 10" 4.10/3.50-4 (I do not really need tire but do need the wheel)

    1. Northern Tool only sells replacement wheels as an assembly with a new tire. See link below for more information.

  9. What is the tire size of this dolly?

    The specs seem to list just the width not the diameter.

    1. The Ultra-Tow Trailer Dolly uses 4.10/3.50-4 size tires. They measure approximately 10.5" tall, just over 4" wide, with a 4" diameter rim.
