  1. Can I bolt this on to my car, or is it specifically for a RV/truck?

    1. The receiver will attach to a vehicle's step bumper. Step bumpers are more flat in the center to allow attachment of a hitch ball and this area is also used as a step to access a truck bed. This will not work on a car bumper.

    2. I had mine welded to the rear bar of my pick up truck, looks OEM. Great to tow my PWC

    3. This hitch is designed to be bolted directly to the vehicle bumper. Bumpers designed for this hitch have bolt holes already pre drilled in them. I have never seen a car bumper designed to take this type of hitch.

  2. Does this receiver have a standard hole for the hitch pin? I don't see it in the picture.

    1. The receiver does have a standard hitch pin hole. It measures 3-9/16" from the center of the hole to the back of receiver tube.

  3. Hole measurements

    Do you have template on hole measurements to edge of mount to holes front and back side?

    1. The following measurements are listed to the center of the holes. The 2 front holes are 7/8" from the sides of the receiver and the back 2 measure 1 9/16". The front 2 holes measure 4" from the back of the receiver and the back 2 measure 1 1/2". The manual states if the receiver holes do not match up to the ones on your truck, you can use the receiver to mark the holes and drill out.

    1. The receiver is not attached with U-bolts. It does come with bolts, nuts, lock washers and spacers for mounting to a step bumper.

  5. Can it be attached upside down on top of a flat trailer?

    I have a camper with a 2' rear deck on it. The camper is too low to attach anything under the rear bumper. So my question is can I flip this upside down and attach it from the top in the center of my rear deck and use a Ubolt that will go under and around the center beam. Primary purpose is for a bike rack that holds 3 bikes.

    1. The step bumper receiver is designed specifically for attachment to a step bumper. It is not recommended to be attached to the top of a trailer.

  6. What are the dimensions of the attachment plate?

    1. The attachment plate dimensions are 7-1/4" wide (side-to-side) by 5" deep (front-to-back).

  7. What is the bolt hole spacing for the "U" bolts, looking to use this on a 4" RV bumper?

    1. The step bumper receiver will have two sets of bolt holes. The center to center distance on one is 4" apart and the other will be 5 1/5" apart.
