  1. Are Zinc Plated Ubolts ok to go on a saltwater boat trailer?

    1. The tie plate kit is not recommended for use on a salt water boat trailer. Stainless steel or galvanized steel is recommended for salt water applications.

    2. They are okay, but you will notice corrosion more quickly than with a galvanized kit. You may want to coat them with a cold galvanizing spray before using them in the saltwater.
