    1. PowerMore.  Made in China, but very good engines. I have owned 2 of these engines for over 6 years with zero problems.

  2. what is the HP?

    1. No official HP rating, but a general rule is to divide the CC's by 30.  
      So 357 divided by 30 = 11.9.  This is not an exact formula, but it will get you close.

  3. Troy-Bilt Storm 2-Stage, 30in., 357cc Engine, Model# Storm 3090: With the auger placement how do the shear pins allow the auger to freewheel?

    1 answer

    1. The shear pins are for safety and in case something gets caught in the auger assembly. The sheer pins should align to holes in the auger shaft and go through it. This will allow the auger to spin when the auger is engaged. If the auger assembly is spinning freely, the pins are not in place correctly and they may have “sheared” off in heavy snow, ice or materials getting in the auger assembly.
