  6. Can the fan be mounted vertically? I have a similar older fan mounted vertically in front of a 4x4 shuttered gable vent and it worked perfectly before it quit.

    1. This whole house fan can be mounted vertically or horizontally. You will need to rough in the frame the same way you would if it were mounted horizontally.
