    1. The BT600 tests 12V lead‑acid batteries only and does not support lithium chemistries.

  2. Does this charger test the amp output on a alternator ohio

Yes, the TOPDON BT600 model does test the alternator's output as part of its charging system analysis, checking for proper voltage (loaded and unloaded) and ripple under load, but it doesn't directly measure the alternator's amperage output in a standalone current measurement like a clamp meter instead, it confirms the charging system is functioning correctly to meet the vehicle's power demands.

    1. This battery charger system measures the battery's health, charge, voltage, internal resistance, and Cold Cranking Amps. It does not have the capability to provide the power needed to start an engine.

    1. The BT600 provides the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) of the battery being tested. It measures the actual CCA capacity of the car’s battery and displays it along with other details like the State of Health (SOH), State of Charge (SOC), voltage, internal resistance, and rating. Additionally, it can check alternators as it supports charging system tests (12V and 24V charging tests) to analyze the performance of the alternator and the charging system.
