Product Summary

This Top Dawg Digital Wireless Heavy-Duty Backup Camera System is designed for large heavy-duty trucks, RVs, buses and other vehicles. It can help reduce the chance of an accident by up to 70% by offering crystal clear viewing and zero interference. 2 cameras are included, and this system can be expanded to 3 or 4 cameras. These night vision cameras can be installed practically anywhere on a vehicle, including on the rear bumper, trailing or leading edge of a vehicle or trailer and other places. This system offers single-camera full-screen viewing or 2-camera split-screen viewing. Additional cameras allow additional viewing options. Cameras each feature 17 built-in IR LEDs to provide excellent night vision and a Mirror and Up/Down image switch to automatically block sun for viewing while the camera is facing the sun. Power is supplied to cameras by tapping into reverse backup lights. When cameras power on, the 7in. TFT-LCD monitor provides a color view of what is behind the vehicle. This monitor with sun shield and dash mount hardware has a built-in receiver and an RCA A/V input for your DVD or game console. For use with 12V-24V DC electrical systems, this system comes with a cigarette lighter power adapter for the cameras. Includes LCD video cable, screws and wire connectors.   3. 1). What is the resolution of the monitor/cameras of the system. 2). What is the viewing angle and closest focus of the cameras. 3). May the cameras/monitor be powered for use several hours as I intend to use on a loader tractor. Thanks, Mike

    1. The monitor resolution is 600P.
      The camera resolution is 720P.
      The viewing angle is 120 degrees.
      The closest focal range is 2.8mm.
      This is designed to be hard wired to a 12 volt power source and can transmit continuously
      as long as they are powered.

  4. How long does it take the system to "reconnect" after going out of range (100yds) and coming back into range?

    1. Reconnecting should take 30 seconds or less. If out of range for long periods of time, re-pairing may be required.

  5. Can the cameras be paired with multiple monitors? I would like to mount the cameras in view of an auger to fill grain trucks. Then would like to pair a monitor in each of our trucks so that we can see to fill without getting out of the truck.

    1. The cameras can be paired to multiple monitors; however, they would have to be paired one at a time. You could not have multiple cameras paired to more than 1 LCD monitor at any one time.

    1. The cameras included in this system are weatherproof, however any snow or ice buildup would need to be removed for proper viewing.

  7. Can I buy replacement antenna for cameras? Where and how?

    1. Replacement antennas are available to purchase through the manufacturer directly.

  8. Does this meet the FMVSS 111 requirements?

    1. FMVSS-111 requirements apply to OEM manufacturers. These standards do not apply to aftermarket cameras. The manufacturer believes this system would meet those requirements, but it has not been tested.

  9. How are cameras powered if on trailer

    1. The cameras can be wired into any 12 volt power source such as backup lights or running lights for the trailer. A rechargeable battery pack can also be used which is our item #68842.

  10. Can I purchase an upgrade to make the monitor waterproof? Needed for outdoor viewing.

    1. There is not an option available to allow the monitor to be waterproof.
