  3. Regarding the tie down hydraulic drum brake actuator what does the built in lock out system do?

    I have a problem with my brake actuator on my boat trailer. To back the boat trailer up a hill into my garage I had to go outside my truck and manually release the actuator so the brakes would unlock. So my question is with product 128206, I'm wondering if the built in lock out system is an upgrade and I wouldn't have to manually release my brakes anymore?

    1. This unit has a manual reverse lockout option. To keep the actuator from engaging the brakes when you back up you will have to leave the vehicle and move the adjustment lever on the actuator into the lock position. A great option to avoid having to leave the vehicle to manually lock the actuator is to upgrade to electric brakes. An electric brake system will engage only when you press the brake pedal.
