It does, but not to an excessive amount that I would consider it a negative issue at all. Based upon my usage to date, I don't expect the wear to become a factor for several more years.

Yes, the blade is a tough plastic. I look at the wear as sharpening.

It will eventually wear but you might get bored of it first. It is very sturdy and will last a long time if used for what is made/designed.

Yes, we have noticed some wear on the edge from being pushed over concrete but compared to the wear and tear on the metal shovels and the corners rolling up, it's not bad. I can still see them lasting far longer than any metal shovel even with the edge getting filed down as they will on concrete.

From the time I've had the item it has minimal wear. One of the selling feature for me was that the blade can be sharpened if needed. It can also be replaced.

Yes it will being that the cutting edge is plastic so depending on how ruff the concrete is & how heavy & wet the snow is the more it will wear. If it is extremely cold it will also chip the edge.

I'm sure it will wear but it is made of heavy nylon and should last for years. Even a steel blade will wear on concrete.

Is this shovel any good for your deeper snowfalls? say 4-8 inches?

at 3 feet wide, it will work on 4-8" of snow if not wet and soggy. I recently did 6" of snow with 2" of soggy wet bottom and it was a work-out. If 6" of "dry" snow, I would prefer this shovel, but my wife would like a narrower one.

Yes it will work, especially if the snow is light and fluffy. On long pushes it may get heavy and if you have to lift the snow up to pile it after your push it, a smaller size will be a little easier.

The SnowPlow Snow Pusher is designed for pushing snow. It would not be designed for shoveling and throwing snow. The blade is 10" tall including the curved portion.

While this isn't as effective in the deepest snow, it will still work well with 4 in of snow fall...so shovel twice.

Has anyone used the 48" model for pushing leaves?
It looks like it would be ideal for that application, but I would really like to hear from some one who has tried it. Thanks

I wish I saw this question yesterday before I spent so much time trying to rake leaves off of my deck! That's a great idea. I think it would work great over hard surfaces like decks or paved driveways. With such a long edge it can't really be used over any surface that it can bite into. It the leaves are really wet and flat it might not be able to get under them due to the thickness of the blade. Dry leaves I imagine would be no problem.

I have not used it specifically for that purpose, but I can imagine it being very useful for wet leaves after a rain and on a hard/paved surface. It would not work well in the lawn.

I have not tried it for leaves, as we bought it when all the leaves were already gone for the season.
Might be worth a try though, as it glides easily over most anything.Helpful?

What is the length of the handle and how much does it weigh after assembly?

I measured 48 inches from the top of the handle to the top of the scoop. I don’t know what it weighs, however, I am a 70 year old woman and a weakling at that! I have no arm strength... Pfffffffttt… It weighs next to nothing. If I can lift it with snow on it, anybody can! I bought this 24 inch pusher along with the 18 inch snow dominator. These shovels are the best!! Just buy it! :)

You sell the replacement handles for the snow pusher shovels, do you also sell the black piece that attaches between the handle and the poly scoop?

Yes, you can get replacement parts for everything on these shovels. Northern Tool has them. I saw them when I looked at these shovels. I bought this 24 inch pusher and the 18 inch snow dominator shovel. These are GREAT shovels!
