Product Summary

The Strongway V-Style Acreage Rake is designed to clear leaves, pine needles, grass clippings and other field debris from large properties quickly and efficiently. The 60in. V-style gathering path spans a full 5ft. to collect debris and organize it into clean windrows in fewer passes. Six ground-driven reel tines provide smooth, continuous operation without requiring a PTO, while the reversible wheels allow either side of the rake to be used for extended service life. Independent dual reel arms help maintain consistent ground contact across uneven terrain, and large 12in. pneumatic tires provide smooth transport over rough ground and fields.     1. There is no acreage limit for this rake. It has a 60" working width and is designed to be towed at speeds up to 5 MPH.

    1. This acreage rake is not designed to have weight added. If the tines need to dig into the ground for dethatching, follow the instructions in the manual to change the rake tine wheels to this mode.

  6. How would this do taking stones out of grass along a gravel driveway

    1. If the stones are loose and on the surface of the grass, this acreage rake can pull them out; however, if the stones are too large or embedded in the grass, it will not pull them out.

  7. Which is better for organizing cut grass V style or inline style estate rake? You sell both styles. Which better for thatching your lawn too? Or doesn’t it matter for thatching?

    1. V-style acreage rakes are better for large, open fields. They are designed for fast and efficient windrowing. Inline-style acreage rakes are better for light-duty use in compact spaces and small acreage. Neither style is ideal for thatching as they do not dig into the dirt or pull up thatch. They are designed to move cut grass and hay.

  8. Are the tines replaceable and if so what is the part number for them?

    1. Replacement tines for this acreage rake are available through the manufacturer, BAC Industries (Tri Global). Please ask for the rake tine wheel, part #6, for model ACR-500TSWL.

  9. Can this be adjusted to rake all in one direction or is it only to rake in a V configuration?

    1. This acreage rake is designed to be used in the V-configuration only. Item 6105428 is a similar inline acreage rake we offer.

  10. What the distance between last rakes? How wide is the windrow?

    1. The total measurement from center to center of the outer two reels, in a straight line, should be 62". The windrow ranges from 9 to 12 inches, depending on the amount of mulch to be raked up.
