  1. Does bottom panel really catch dirt?

    Description says "Handy bark and dirt catcher on the bottom panel keeps floors clean" but photo looks like panel is undersized, and sloped so that any dirt that falls on it would surely slide right off onto your floor. Please comment on whether or not it works as advertised.

    1. The panel prevents debris from contacting the axle and does reduce the mess somewhat, as much because stuff slides off it to the front as because it actually holds any debris.

      Besides protecting the axle the main purpose is to mechanically connect the two halves of the frame. The other two panels are also doing double duty, keeping small stuff from falling through and providing structural stiffness by connecting the two sides.

    2. The bottom panel will catch some dirt and bark, but it will not catch all the debris that falls from the logs loaded on the cart.

  2. What is the width from outside of one tire to the outside of the other?e

    I need to park cart in space next to fireplace that is 27 inches wide. Thanks

    1. The outside of the cart wheels are about 21" apart. The cart is fairly long front to back (about 30") but the width won't be a problem.

    2. The widest point of this log cart is 20-5/8 inches, which is the full axle length. The width from the outside of the tires is 20 inches.

  4. The wheels keep wobbling out of 0lace. How do I fix this?

    1. Washers are used as spacers on the axle to keep the wheels from wobbling. Additional washers can be used to snug them up. The cotter pin should also be put in place to secure the wheel on the axle.

  5. What length size wood will this hold?

    1. The bed of this cart is 12" wide. The log length will need to be a minimum of 12" to rest on the frame. The logs may be much longer than that, as long as the cart is still balanced and the load does not exceed 220 lbs.
