Product Summary

This 10-Ton Strongway® Benchtop Hydraulic Shop Press with Gauge is great for straightening, stamping, bending and pressing any component that is hard to handle. Polished inner cylinder walls extend the life of the hydraulic seals to minimize abrasion and wear, while the cylinder ram and pistons are also polished and chromed, guided by high performance seals, wear rings and dust seals. Includes a dial gauge for dual metric/tons pressure readings. Adjustable lower bolster. Some assembly required. Meets and complies with ASME PASE 2019 safety standards.

    Is the pump fixed to the side of the frame, or does it detach?

    1. It can be either way.

    2. The pump is not permanently mounted. It can be mounted on either side of the press and the pump handle can detach from the jack.

    1. Absolutely no doubt. This thing will press studs in and out like butter.

  4. I want to extend the hydraulic hose to operate from further away from the press. What is the working pressure of the hose?

    1. The working pressure is 45.34 MPa; however, the hose cannot be extended.

  5. With the bed moved up to its highest setting, what is the clearance between the bed and the ram head?

    1. The clearance is 6.89 inches with the bed at its highest point. The bed can be lowered twice in 3.15 inch increments for a clearance of 10.04 inches and 13.19 inches.

    1. The cylinder has a spring return to return the piston back to its original poition.

    1. It does not require excessive force to move the handle as the press will be under operating pressure.

  8. I'm guessing the 41 15/16" height is to the top of the gauge. What's the frame height?

    1. The overall height of 41-15/16" is measured to the top of the gauge. The frame height is 28.15".

  9. What are the dimensions of the base of the press (the C channel, not the angle iron).

    1. The C-channel base is open on the bottom and measures 19-3/8"L x 4-5/8"W x 2"H overall.

  10. does anyone know the thread pitch on the piston head?

    1. The ram head does not screw onto the ram. There are fine ridges that use a snap ring to keep the ram head attached. The ram head measures 2" in diameter and 2.5" H.
