  1. Can you use one pump for gas and diesel or would it damage the pump to use both fuels with one pump.

    1. This pump is compatible with gasoline and diesel. Drain every drop of the previous fuel from the pump, hose, and nozzle before introducing the new fuel. Flush the system with a small amount of the new fuel and discard that initial flush to ensure no cross-contamination remains.

  2. Will this work on 10 and 15 gallon flow fast tanks?

    1. This pump includes 2", 2.1", and 2.75" adapters. It is not compatible with Flo-Fast tanks, which feature a 3" fill opening.

  4. What kind of battery does it use and also is there a way to manually pump if the battery is dead?

    1. This unit runs on four AA batteries and is not equipped with a manual backup mechanism.

  5. Will it reach all the way to the bottom of a 5 gallon gas can? I have bought several different brands of these pumps, and they leave a lot of gas in the can. I have to get a funnel and pour the rest. Pain in the posterior!

    1. This transfer pump includes a 19" suction tube, so it would reach the bottom of a 5 gallon gas can which is typically around 10"-15" tall.

    1. The hoses could be swapped out; however, we do not offer alternative options at this time.

  7. How long can this pump be left in my 5 gallon gas can?

    1. Although there is no time limit on its use once connected to the oil barrel, it is important to disconnect the pump after each use. This is because the connecting nut is not sealed, and leaving it attached for extended periods may cause leakage or affect performance.
