  1. Does it have a safety function that turns it off once the vehicle is started or will it stay on even after the vehicle starts?

    1. This unit does not shut off automatically. Disconnect the jump starter once the engine starts to prevent excess power draw from the alternator and protect the vehicle battery.

  3. Will is start a V-8 engine with a completely dead battery

    1. This unit is designed for use on 4 or 6 cylinder gas and diesel engines. The minimum start voltage for the jump starter is 2.5V. If the vehicle's battery is below this, it will not jump start the vehicle.

    1. At this time, we do not have individual parts available for this jump starter/power bank.

  5. What is the lifespan of this charger?  Does it also need to be kept charged or will it void the warranty?

    1. The service life of this charger is 1 to 5 years on non-commercial uses. To protect the battery and keep the unit maintained, it is best to keep it charged. Charging it once every three months is recommended when the item is not in use.
